Antiques Festival  
Join us for an antique lover’s paradise at Harrison Park and beyond, July 1st - 5th, 2021! Vendors fill the Park and other areas close to downtown with treasures that seekers are looking for. All vendors are in walking distance of downtown. Plan to spend some time in Denton this Independence Day.  You can find our Vendor Application here.

Christmas Parade and Celebration
The Denton Christmas Parade and Celebration is held the first Saturday in December, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The festivities include the Holiday Market, caroling in the park, carriage rides, & photos with Santa!  The parade starts at noon.  Call 336-859-4231 for more information.

Christmas Train
Visit the Denton Farm Park for a Christmas delight as they light up the train for the holidays! Take a 20-minute ride on the authentic steam train. Then stop off at the Gingerbread House  for a fresh cookie and some hot cocoa. Join others at the church for some Christmas carols, or view the arts & crafts exhibits. Ride the Handy Dandy Railroad and see the lights and Nativity movie along the way. Visit the church and sing carols. Explore the service station, Gingerbread House, General Store, Doll Museum and all the Arts & Crafts exhibits. Take the tram down to visit the Reid Plantation or ride the horse drawn wagon ride. Make sure to stop by Santa’s cabin for a visit. Food available and more!

Denton Farm Park
The privately-owned Denton Farm Park is home to some of the most exciting events in the Southeast. The park is, perhaps, best known for hosting the annual Southeast Old Threshers' Reunion. However, numerous educational and entertaining events are held throughout the year. Click the above link to learn more.

Denton Museum
The Denton Museum is the repository for historical Denton artifacts. Thanks to Barbara Hogan's tireless labor of love, the museum has grown to include hundreds of items representing Denton's past. Click the above link for more information and photos.

Denton Street Festival 
This year the dates have changed for the Denton's Annual Street Festival. We will start with a Family Fun Night and Concert in the Park on October 8th & our Annual Street Festival on October 9th, 9am-3pm, Rain or Shine.  
October 8th - Family Fun Night at Harrison Park.  The Jill Goodson Band will be on stage from 7-9pm.  Free snacks and bounce slide available.
October 9th  - Come out for food, crafts, games and entertainment. Along with our local talent stage, we are excited to announce that this year’s main stage entertainment will be the band MOXIE.  The Amazin Blazin Fire Truck will take children & adults on a ride through downtown on the top of a fire truck.  We are excited to annouce that the Dinosaurs are coming!  We are still working on finalizing other attractions for the Festival. Denton Watermelon Festival
The 2021 Watermelon Festival will be held August 7th, 2021.  The Festival and Pageant will begin at 9am.  The Festival will be centered around Harrison Park, the Pageant will be held at the Denton Wesleyan Church, 6345 NC-109, Denton, NC 27239, with crowing at Harrison Park at 2pm.

Outdoor Market at Harrison Park (Farmers Market / Holiday Markets)
Denton's Farmers Market is the place to come for locally-grown produce, baked goods, and hand-made arts & crafts. The market is held on select dates, and includes the special Holiday Markets. 

Harrison Park 5K Run
The Annual Harrison Park 5K Run has been postponed, date TBA.  This year we are please to announce that you can run with your dogs, leash is required.  Sponsored by Novant Health and Rolling Meadows Kennels.  All proceeds go to the Pink Cares of the Piedmont.  For the 5K Run application click here.

Southeast Old Threshers Reunion
Come out and experience the 51st Southeast Old Threshers' Reunion—the largest display of steam, gas, and antique farm equipment in the Southeast. The five-day event runs from July 1st  through July 5th and is held at the privately-owned and historical Denton Farm Park. Click the above link for more information.

Veteran's Day Dinner
The Veteran's Day Dinner is an annual event every November to thank our men and women who have served our country.  Larry Furr Presents, Southern Theatre and Event Center will be the host for lunch on November 11, 2020 from 12:00pm - 3:00pm.  All Veterans meals are free and spouse's meal is $11.00. Call Barbara Hogan for reservations or more information. 

Davidson County Youth Fishing Derby
